Texen Refining Company Limited (“TRCL”)

Texen Energy Group is constructing a 120,000 barrel per day (“BPD”) crude oil refinery in Umorghun-Zuagbor Community of Edo State, Nigeria.

The refinery is being constructed in 4 phases consistent with Texen’s strategy of low cost, low risk, maximum impact strategy:

Phase I construction has commenced at our site in Edo State. All contracts have been signed with the technical partners for the construction of the refinery, and EIA and EPC activities commenced in February 2019. Total financing for the project is secured.

Phase 1 will consist of 30,000 BPD dual train refinery that will produce automotive gas oil (“AGO”), premium motor spirit (“PMS”) and dual purpose kerosene (“DPK”) for the Nigerian market. This will enable the government to save critical foreign exchange used to import refined products.

Phase II will consist of 30,000 BPD dual train refinery that will augment the production of AGO, PMS and DPK as well as aviation kerosene for the Nigerian market

Phase III will consist of a single train 30,000 BPD refinery that expand output of these key products to the Nigerian market, thereby ensuring a steady supply of high quality, low cost products for Nigerian consumers and industries.
